This worked perfectly! Delivered a full 20 amp charge to my 48v lithium iron phosphate battery bank.I have a 500ah battery bank for my home and occasionally need to add power with a generator when solar is not enough. I previously used a 15 amp golf cart charger I rigged up, which worked but wasnt really coming close to the capacity of my generator. Adding this one to the other leg on the generator has more than doubled my charging capacity and puts a good solid load on my 6kw diesel generator.I was happy to find the included alligator clips and ring terminals. This makes it so easy to move between different systems, I can install the ring terminal pigtail on my golf cart and the alligator clips can be used when I need to top off the house system with more power in the winter.It runs nice and cool with its fan, meets the specs and is a decent value at its current price.

The Lithium Logic 12.8V 30A LiFePO4 Charger is made in the USA and it shows. It is an excellent design, constructed with heavy duty cables and connectors, 8AWG wires, and a solid aluminum housing with pronounced cooling fins and external fan. It uses a simple multi-color LED indicator to show charging status. Everything about this impressive charger says High Quality.This charger is designed specifically for a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) 12.8V battery, which needs a very different charging profile than lead acid battery types (wet, AGM, SLA, or Gel). The charger supplies constant current until the battery voltage reaches a threshold, and afterward constant voltage until it is fully charged. Because it is a 1-mode charger specifically for LiFePO4 batteries, there is no problem of accidentally selecting the wrong mode. That said, this charger should never be used for lead acid battery types, since its higher voltage could cause them permanent damage.The charger’s VoltRevive feature can wake up a fully discharged battery. Internally, a LFP battery has of multiple banks of cylindrical LiFePO4 cells and internal circuitry that monitors and controls them. If the battery is completely discharged (to near 0 volts), this internal circuitry cannot function, so no charging will occur, thus making the battery appear completely dead. The VoltRevive feature is designed to supply sufficient bias for the battery’s internal circuitry to start working so that charging can start.WeatherproofIt is IP67 rated, which is very believable. Ingress Protection 6 means dust cannot get inside, which is due to it being completely sealed and to its use of external cooling fins and fan. The 7 in IP67 means it can withstand being submerged in 1m of water for 30 minutes without water getting inside. This protection is due to internal gaskets that prevent water intrusion and to the conformal coating of its electric components (see picture). Its external fan must also be IP67 rated.It you need a charger specifically for LiFePO4 batteries, this is the one to get.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I picked up this 15-amp lithium charger specifically for my 100Ah LiFePO4 trolling motor battery on a small fishing boat, and it ended up being a great real-world test right out of the gate. I hadn’t charged the battery since the end of last season, so it was sitting around 20% when I connected it. That gave me a good baseline to see what it could actually do, and I was honestly impressed that it brought the battery all the way up to full in about 4.5 hours without any issues.One of the first things I noticed was how well the charger handled heat and overall operation during that time. The internal fan did its job quietly, and the unit itself never got hot—just barely warm to the touch. It also shut off properly once the battery reached 100%, which is something I always pay attention to. The built-in indicator light made it easy to see the charging status at a glance, and it matched exactly what the manual described. My battery has a built-in BMS and app monitoring, and everything stayed stable the entire time. The battery temperature in my home went from about 73°F to 78°F during charging, which felt very reasonable. With its 450-watt output and the way it stayed cool, it’s clear this unit is designed to move power efficiently without stressing the components.The SB50 Anderson connector is a huge upgrade compared to the alligator clips I’ve used in the past. I can leave the connector attached to the battery permanently and just plug and unplug as needed, which is a lot more convenient. I’ve been reading about how different materials hold up outdoors, especially with exposure to oxygen and moisture, and this gives me a lot more confidence compared to lighter plastic housings. Between the sealed design and IP67 rating, I don’t worry nearly as much about setting it down in the grass while charging or if there’s a little rain or sprinkle or damp conditions.The cooling design is also well thought out, with fins and strong airflow from the fan helping it dissipate heat effectively. From my measurements, the charging unit is roughly 4.5 by 7.5 by 4.25 inches, so it’s compact but has quite a substantial feel to it.Another feature I really appreciate is the recovery capability. I’ve had my battery’s BMS shut down on me before, and I remember it being a hassle to figure out how to get everything working again. My current charger before this one did not want to reactivate it for some reason. This charger claims it can help bring a battery back and re-engage things if the system has been shut down, which is a big plus in my book.The only negative feedback I can provide is the two velcro cable straps are fairly cheap and not very secure. They barely wrap around the cable when it's folded and the area that the velcro covers is slight. I would have expected at this price they could have included higher quality Velcro cable wraps. It's not a game changer because you can always come up with your own solution but I just wanted to be sure and add this comment.Overall, I’m extremely happy with how this charger performs. It’s designed specifically for 12V LiFePO4 systems and uses a smart charging approach that adjusts based on the battery’s condition and temperature, so there’s no guesswork involved. It touts an 18 month warranty on the box.Between the solid construction, reliable performance, and thoughtful features, this has been a big step up from anything I’ve used before and gives me a lot more confidence heading into fishing season. I have great confidence in this excellent quality-built charger and definitely recommend it, especially for it's waterproof qualities and 15a power.
