As far as budget-tier Chinese alternators go, this isn't a bad one, actually. The machining on the pulley is good, and the fan blade is decent quality. The bearings, of course, are no-name, who-cares Chinese bearings, so I would expect this one to start squealing sooner rather than later. But that's an easy fix if you have the right tools. That said, they do look like slightly better no-name, who-cares Chinese bearings. So maybe they'll last? They're not even close to an NSK level tier, though.
Since it's a basic V pulley drive, you can fit this on pretty much anything. A lot of farm equipment and older heavy machines use them, but you could also adapt it to your own custom application.
When I tested this alternator on the bench, it had significantly less ripple than other alternators I've reviewed in this tier. Thermally, it runs a bit hot, but that's just the original design more than anything.
Value wise, it's a little on the higher side for these, but considering the decent quality in my bench test and the good machining, the higher cost is more understandable. If you need a 1-wire alternator and are restricted to this budget tier, this is a decent option, in my opinion.
